Bosello High Technology improves radioscopic NDT solutions with a new purpose, the CT (Computed Tomography), very flexible and fast, that gives the third dimension to the fluoroscopic analysis; the system has been updated with the newest “CT One Click” function.
The procedure needs, rotating the casting around 360 degrees, to acquire “n” bi-dimensional images from different angles of view; these images are then processed to obtain another set of bi-dimensional images representing the ‘slices’ of the object; using these images the software is able to create a 3D reconstruction of the casting.
The whole process, that is the images acquisition and 3D model elaboration, is carried out in few minutes providing a conforming reconstruction to the object; using this model, it is possible to make measurements and identify possible defects.
Compared to a classic fluoroscopy, that in any case it is the starting point to collect the images to process, the CT offers many important advantages:
- Quality assurance
- Product development
- Process control
- Failure analysis
- Rapid prototyping
- Reverse engineering
- Results reporting
